SUMMARY:Roots of Injustice: Seeds of Change
DESCRIPTION:The Adult Book Group of St. Barnabas is pleased to present a 2-hour\, group participation workshop entitled “Roots of Injustice/Seeds of Change” on Sunday\, July 16\, at noon in the Family Life Center. When you enter our meeting space\, it will have become Turtle Island\, the name given by some Indigenous Peoples to what is now called the United States. As Navajo flute music is playing\, we will meet our 4 speakers: a European\, a Historian\, a Native American\, and a Narrator. Each speaker has a story to share\, a part of our history to relate\, as they move us swiftly through 500 years of shared history\, leaving us with a greater understanding of our past and moving us forward to planting seeds of ideas for improvement and change among all peoples of this land. \nA light lunch will be served starting at 11:15\, the program begins at noon\, a freewill offering will be collected to support the work of the organization that created this program\, and childcare will be provided.
