Our Fellowship Team takes responsibility for serving refreshments after each Sunday worship service as a means of extending hospitality and a warm welcome to visitors and members alike. The team also handles receptions and meals when requested after funerals or for other occasions. Finally, our Fellowship Team coordinates other congregational meals that may be served in conjunction with midweek worship services or for special events.
Lunch and Learn meets on the second Tuesday of each month from noon to 2:00 pm in the Family Life Center at St. Barnabas (unless otherwise noted). Bring your own lunch and enjoy the dessert and drinks that are provided. Each month we have a different speaker from an outside organization based on topics the group is interested in learning more about. A $5 freewill donation will be accepted to help cover costs.
February 12, 2019, will be a presentation on everything you need to know about Medicare. Sue Grossinger, a Senior Health Insurance Program Counselor from Good Shepherd Hospital, will explain everything you need to know about Medicare and answer any questions you might have.
March 12, 2019, will be a presentation from Senior Services of Crystal Lake about programs and resources for seniors in McHenry County. topics will include transportation, activities, property taxes, caregivers, and benefits available to seniors.
